The restaurant offered the homeless to eat free of charge for a year due to an insult on the check
In the United States, the management of the fast food chain restaurant Buffalo Wild Wings fired employees at a branch in Louisiana because they wrote derogatory phrases to a homeless person who ordered food.
In compensation, the offended client was offered a free meal at the establishment for a year, writes News.ru with reference to KPLC.
On May 28, a man, who was not named, made an order at a restaurant and was very offended to find an insulting record on the check, which, accompanied by an obscene word, indicated who the food was for.
“Hey, homeless man, let’s sit and have sex,” wrote one of the establishment’s employees. There was also another mocking phrase in this context, written in the other hand: “I love you.”
Homeless, seeing the inscriptions on the check, was upset to tears and shared his resentment with other visitors, and they complained about the outrageous behavior of employees to the restaurant management. The regional manager, Ray Rhodes, acknowledged that it was unacceptable to treat clients in this way. He reported that employees involved in the shameful incident were fired.
The client was given the opportunity to eat in a restaurant for free throughout the year. In addition, the man was presented with a gift card network Walmart for the purchase of clothes, they were also provided with a hotel room to stay. The restaurant also donated "a couple hundred" fried chicken wings to a local homeless shelter.
