Summing up the results of the year, Forbes magazine named the billionaires who this year for various reasons lost significantly in money. Among them was the richest man on the planet, Jeff Bezos.

According to the publication, the general condition of the founder of Amazon for 12 months decreased by $ 13,1 billion. As a result, within a year he was inferior to the first line in the ranking of the richest people in the world to Bill Gates and Bernard Arnault.

The decline in Bezos's condition is due to his divorce from his wife Mackenzie. Amazon founder was forced to transfer 25% of its shares to the company. Therefore, in the summer, Bezos’s fortune decreased by $ 36,8 billion, however, further growth in Amazon quotes allowed the billionaire to win back part of the losses.

Travis Kalanik lost $ 3,1 billion after an unsuccessful IPO taxi service Uber. The company's shares have fallen since May by 30%. As a result, Kalanik began selling his securities, simultaneously paying serious taxes for transactions.
