There was a dispute between presidential candidates Vladimir Zelensky and Petro Poroshenko on the air of “Right to Vlada” on “1+1”.

“People haven’t interrupted you for five years, let me tell you. Mr. Poroshenko, listen to me,” Zelensky told Poroshenko. During the conversation, they interrupted each other and could not agree on the final date of the debate.

Poroshenko tried to debate during the broadcast: “I would like you to have the opportunity to hear the answer. Debate is when I listened to you, and you listen to me. Mr. Zelensky, give me the opportunity to answer you. Otherwise it’s not a debate.” Then he insisted on holding a discussion on April 14 at the stadium, and on April 19 at the Public.

However, his opponent insisted that the debate would take place only on April 19 at the NSC, and that the debate would not be broadcast. “I emphasize once again: on April 19 there will be debates at the NSC Olimpiysky. You want it now, but I invite you on the 19th. I will finish in five years, and you will finish on the 22nd,” he said.

At the end, Zelensky abruptly ended the conversation. “I'll finish now. On the 19th at the NSC Olimpiysky. Dot. Goodbye,” he said.

After the release of the program, 1+1 Media CEO Alexander Tkachenko said that the channel would sue Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko after his unexpected arrival on the air of the “Right to Vlada” program.

He wrote about this on his page in Facebook.

According to him, presidential candidates were not invited to the program, but Poroshenko decided to come to the broadcast himself. He also emphasized that the lawsuit will also cover former accusations from Poroshenko against the 1+1 TV channel.
