Delta passengers removed from flight due to the name of WiFi access points
Two passengers were taken off a Delta flight due to the names of WiFi access points. How this happened, tells Simple flying
Passengers boarded an airplane at the Detroit airport. The flight was operated by GoJet on behalf of Delta Connection, and it was heading to Montreal.
In connection with the departure at 20:10, the flight was already slightly behind schedule, when everything happened. Stewardesses, repeatedly turning to passengers to turn off their WiFi, began to run down the aisle.
After a few minutes, apparently the crew instructions were not followed, and the WiFi access points were still working. Witnesses report that flight attendants began to threaten to resort to police assistance if the mobile Internet is not immediately turned off.

After a few minutes, about 10 emergency vehicles with flashing lights surrounded the plane. One of the passengers, Aaron Greenberg, was heading that flight to a working meeting in Montreal. He talked about his feelings at that moment.
“At first I thought there was someone really dangerous in the back of the plane. It was a difficult moment when about 10 emergency vehicles with their lights flashing surrounded the plane,” he said.
The police boarded the plane, then got off with two people. Soon the policemen returned, but without passengers, and took two more people out of the plane. Greenberg described them as a thirty-year-old man in shorts, a woman.

What was the name of the WiFi network?
The exact name of the hotspot has not been confirmed by the Wayne County Airport Authority, which was handling the situation. However, Greenberg said the flight attendant told him the name was “Remote Detonator.”
