The problem concerns construction companies across the country and does not depend on their size, says AGC. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in the whole industry in July there were vacant 263 000 jobs.

The shortage of workers affects the cost and duration of projects, as well as the value of real estate, including homes.

1. Project managers, managers

Nearly half of the firms surveyed by AGC said they had more trouble finding project managers during the past year, while 12 percent reported that the unemployment rate was the same compared to the previous year.
