World prosperity ranking: which countries live best
Legatum Institute Analytical Center published its annual world prosperity ranking. In total there are 167 countries. Writes about this with the BBC.

The authors analyze each country for a number of indicators that make it possible to assess the state of various spheres of life: safety, health, freedom, investment climate, the environment, and the like.
Ukraine took 96th place in the overall ranking. As the Legatum Institute report shows, Ukraine's strengths are education, in which Ukraine ranks 37th in the world, and living conditions (69th).
The weakest points, according to the compilers of the rating, are social capital (148) and security (145 step).
The neighbors of Ukraine in the overall ranking are Cuba (97) and Tunisia (95).
Since last year, Ukraine has climbed three positions (from 99 places to 96), but is still at 10 steps lower than 10 years ago.
Russia took 74th place. The strengths for the Russian Federation were education (20th place) and the economy (43rd place), and the weaknesses were security (139th) and personal freedom (144th place).

Belarus was one step above Russia and took 73rd place. The country's strengths were education (32nd place) and living conditions (45th place), while its weaknesses were social capital (143) and personal freedom (145).
Who are the leaders?
The top ten of the world prosperity ranking looks like this:
- Denmark
- Norway
- Switzerland
- Sweden
- Finland
- Netherlands
- New Zealand
- Germany
- Luxembourg
- Iceland
The UK is ranked 11th, the United States is 18th, France is 23rd, Spain is 25th and Georgia is 53rd.
Kazakhstan (68) was higher than Ukraine, Russia and Belarus in the ranking, and Botswana (76) and Mongolia (87) were higher than Ukraine.
Outsiders include the Central African Republic, Yemen and South Sudan, which occupy last places.
