New York City Hall will help citizens to fill out tax returns
New Yorkers, whose total income in 2017 did not exceed $ 54 thousands for families with children and $ 30 thousands for families without children, can receive free assistance in completing and filing tax returns for the past year.

The online help service for filling out declarations provides step-by-step instructions that will help you prepare and file a tax return. Experts are also available by telephone, and as part of the conversation, they will answer all your questions.
NYC offices Free Tax Prep located throughout the city and offer various options for help, including:
Individual assistance: IRS certified consultant volunteer will help you fill out a declaration in text format or online;
In some offices you can simply leave your tax documents and get a completed declaration later.

In addition, 10 February, under the auspices of the Department of Consumer Protection of the New York City Hall in the city will be held 12-hour tax marathon (NYC Free Tax Prep-a-Thon), which will be attended by licensed IRS accountants-volunteers. Also, all participants will be offered assistance in determining local and federal benefits.
Free help will be available from 9: 00 to 21: 00 (the last participant will be allowed to volunteer at 19: 30).
The event will take place in all five boroughs of New York at the following addresses:
- Bronx - Bronx Early College Academy (250 East 164th Street, Bronx, NY 10456);
- Brooklyn - Juan Morel Campos Secondary School (215 Heyward Street, Brooklyn, NY 11206);
- Queens - Flushing High School (35-01 Union Street, Flushing, NY 11354);
- Manhattan - PS 46 Arthur Tappan School (2987 Frederick Douglass Blvd., New York, NY 10039);
- Staten island - Curtis High School (105 Hamilton Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10301).
