A bear attacked a California resident in the courtyard of his house, defending a bear cub
June 10 on a California resident attacked a bear. Everything happened after the dog of this man attempted to attack the bear cub, and the adult animal followed the dog.
The incident happened around 14: 40 on Monday in the Los Angeles suburb of Sierra Madre, located in the foothills next to the National Reserve of Angeles, writes Fox News.
California Department of Fisheries and Wildlife officials told FOX11 that a man noticed bears in his backyard when his little dog started barking. Mama-bear, trying to protect her cub, went for a small dog and went out to the man.
The man, in turn, tried to protect the dog from certain death and kicked the bear in the bear. The animal got angry and attacked, scratching its calves and biting at the right knee.

The 50-year-old man was taken to hospital and is safe. The dog was sent to the veterinarian and was not seriously injured.
Employees of the Department of Wildlife neutralized bears with tranquilizers and transported them into their natural habitat.
The department said that at this time of year there is an increase in the activity of black bears, but such animals rarely pose a threat to humans, dogs or cats.
