A couple from Gainesville (Florida) decided to have a nice time by the lake, but was surprised by the uninvited guest.

Taylor Forte planned a picnic for her fiance, Trevor Walters, before he left for 10 weeks with the US Navy. However, their romantic meeting was interrupted by a hungry alligator.

“He swam to the shore and just looked at us at first and then headed to the beach,” Walters said.

His bride added that they were shocked and tried to run away from him.

“He ate a whole block of cheese,” Walters said. “He devoured it and started eating the salami, which had no chance of remaining untouched.”

After the sausage, the alligator picked up the watermelon and ate half. He was followed by grapes.

“The worst part was we had a big bowl of guacamole,” Walters said. “He ate the whole bowl.”

But Forte and Walters did not retreat without a fight.

“I learned this as a kid to scare bears,” Walters explained. - Make a lot of noise. This causes the bear to panic.”

His strategy worked. Gator frightened and dived back into the water.
