One of the oldest and most famous hotels in New York —Plaza Hotel - put up for auction in April 2016.

The Plaza Hotel is located on the corner of Fifth Avenue, opposite Central Park. The famous building was built in 1907 year and changed many owners. In January 1986, the hotel was assigned the status of an object of historical significance. The Plaza Hotel has appeared in many American literary works and films, including the novel The Great Gatsby by Francis Scott Fitzgerald and in his screen version.

Most of “Home Alone-2” was filmed at the Plaza Hotel, by the way, Donald Trump appeared in the episode.
