The headquarters of presidential candidate and showman Vladimir Zelensky considers the proposal of his opponent, current President Petro Poroshenko, to hold debates at the NSC Olimpiysky on April 19 from 16:00 to 18:00 inappropriate, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

Zelensky believes that the working day is not over at this time, and everyone who wants to listen to the candidates will not be able to get to the stadium.

“The law stipulates that the debates take place from 19:00 to 22:00 on April 19, if I’m not mistaken. Why they are looking for some kind of loopholes every time so as not to come is a question,” said Dmitry Razumkov, speaker on the election campaign of Zelensky’s headquarters.

He once again stressed that the debate, according to the law, must begin with 19: 00 19 of April, and it was precisely this time that was originally proposed by Zelensky headquarters.

What about ratings?

Meanwhile, the Kiev International Institute of Sociology conducted a survey from 9 to 14 on April 2019 of the year among 2004 respondents throughout Ukraine, except for the territories occupied by Russia.

According to the KIIS survey, 48,4% of respondents plan to vote for Zelensky, writes RBC.

For Poroshenko intend to cast votes 17,0% of respondents.

Among those who have made their choice, 72,2% plan to support Zelensky, 25,4% - Poroshenko.

Zelensky said that they had previously agreed on another date - April 19, when they should pass the official debates of the candidates stipulated by law. Zelensky did not listen to his opponent’s objections and hung up.
• Showman Vladimir Zelensky in the first round significantly ahead of Petro Poroshenko. After the first round, he recorded a video in which Poroshenko urged to come to the debate to the stadium, but did not name the date. President agreed and invited Zelensky to the Olympic 14 of April. Zelensky insists that he meant April 19.
• 9 of April representatives of the CEC and NOTU stated that the official television debates between presidential candidates Petro Poroshenko and Vladimir Zelensky were scheduled for 20: 00 19 of April. Their cost will be 5 million 766 thousand UAH (almost $ 216 000).
• The second round of elections will take place on April 21.
