Israel sent rescuers and doctors to Nepal

An Israeli Air Force transport aircraft C-130J (“Samson”) landed at the airport in the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu. "Samson" delivered a team of military rescuers and doctors, numbering about 260 people, to Nepal. They brought with them about 95 tons of humanitarian aid and equipment for field hospitals, including 4 mobile intensive care units, 2 operating rooms and 80 hospital beds.

It is reported that the Israeli transport plane, which took off the day before, was able to land in Kathmandu only after the runway damaged by the earthquake was put in order. Another Israeli Air Force plane has been dispatched.

According to the local media, about 100 of thousands of Nepalese army soldiers are involved in the search and rescue operation (approximately 90% of all personnel). According to the latest data, more than 3700 people died as a result of a natural disaster in the country, another 7000 received various injuries.
