New York Prosecutor General opened a criminal case against the Trump Foundation

The New York State Attorney General’s Office is investigating the United States Republican Donald J Trump Foundation’s charitable foundation.
According to the head of department, Eric Schneiderman, the prosecutor’s office checks the work of the foundation for compliance with state laws. He called the reason for the verification of the suspicions of the prosecutors in the implementation of the fund unacceptable for non-profit structures.
Schneiderman did not specify what kind of activity in question. Earlier, the press was excited by reports of Trump's disbursement of funds to the Florida State Attorney in 2013. That payment was made through the billionaire charity fund.
Trump's critics did not rule out that the payment could be regarded as a bribe. Florida prosecutor Pam Bondi was then considering bringing a case against the Trump University business training program, which closed in 2010 after numerous complaints about it.
Bondi refused to prosecute. She confirms the fact of receiving funds from Trump, however, insists that they have nothing to do with her decision and were intended to prepare her for the next state attorney general election.
The Trump Foundation has been involved in several more scandals. In particular, the American media claimed that the billionaire did not transfer funds from 2008 to his own fund, and also used the money donated to the charity fund for personal purposes.
