Two students from the same university discovered that they were biological brothers who had been searching for each other for many years.
Since childhood, Kiron Graham wanted to find his biological mother and brother, so his adoptive mother gave him a set of DNA tests so that he could register for Ancestry.com (site for finding relatives, creating a family tree, etc.), writes NBC.
His biological mother, Shawn Gant, made the difficult decision to give up his youngest son, Kiron, for adoption, when he was only three months old.
“I felt like I couldn’t give him what he needed,” the woman admitted.
Kiron started looking for his brother through the database Ancestry.com, and the results showed that he had the greatest genetic coincidence with a guy named Vincent.
It was later revealed that Vincent was studying at Kennesaw State University in Georgia, the same school as Kieron. They even have the same specialty.
They walked along the same campus and the same corridors for three years, not knowing that they were native people.
“We didn’t even know what to say to each other at first,” Kieron said.
Vincent remembers how he cared about his younger brother when he was still a baby.
“I remember feeding him a bottle, changing his diapers. All this flashed through my head instantly because that was my last memory of him,” Vincent said.
He is glad that now he will have many new memories, and their biological mother will finally see how her children are reunited many years later.
“Even though it’s been 20 years, there hasn’t been a single day when I haven’t thought about him,” she said.
They are still shocked that they were looking for each other and at the same time were so close, now the brothers are planning to spend a lot of time together.
