Rimma Markova

The People's Artist of Russia died on January 15, 2015 at the age of 90. Fame came to her at the age of 42, after the release of the war drama “The Indian Kingdom.” In total, Markova has more than 70 film roles. “Eternal Call”, “Kinfolk”, “Pokrovsky Gate”, “Midshipmen, forward!” and many others. In recent years, she has hardly acted. One of her last works was the role of a witch in Timur Bekmambetov’s dilogy “Night Watch” and “Day Watch,” for which Markova was nominated for the Golden Eagle as best supporting actress. We will also remember the People’s Artist for her social advertising, in which Rimma Markova starred with her friend Nonna Mordyukova.

Eldar Ryazanov

Quite recently, at the age of 88, the genius of Russian film comedy, Eldar Ryazanov, died. Last time the director was very sick. "Forum" wrote about this. In his youth, Ryazanov dreamed of becoming a sailor, and later a writer. However, by the will of fate, Eldar Aleksandrovich entered VGIK, which he graduated in 1950. It was from this moment that the career of the future famous director of “folk” comedies began. Lev Durov

Leonard Nimoy

American actor Leonard Nimoy died in Los Angeles. The famous performer of the role of Spock from the Star Trek series was 83 years old. It was his role in the television series “Star Trek” (“Star Trek”) that brought the actor worldwide fame. After leaving cinema, Leonard Nimoy took up photography.

Maya Plisetskaya

Terry Pratchett

The English science fiction writer has died at the age of 66. During his writing career, he sold 75 million copies of books. Most of them are comic fantasy from the Discworld series. In 1998, the writer was awarded the title of Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire for his contribution to literature.

Yevgeny Primakov, the former Prime Minister, headed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Foreign Intelligence Service of Russia. The politician died at the age of 85. Primakov was the second head of the Russian Foreign Ministry after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Boris Nemtsov

Boris Nemtsov was killed in February of this year in Moscow. Murder policy caused tremendous public response.
