“I wouldn’t even think about shooting Obama” - Nemtsov accused of murder
The alleged accomplice of the murder of Boris Nemtsov, Anzor Gubashev, during interrogation by the police, said that he had helped organize the crime because of the “anti-Russian and anti-Muslim” statements of the politician.
As Kommersant was able to learn, Anzor Gubashev said that he had long watched the actions of Nemtsov and was outraged by his statements about Islam and the actions of Russia in Ukraine. According to Gubashev, Nemtsov was financed by US President Barack Obama.
The accused said that only he, who died during the arrest of Beslan Shavanov and the main suspect Zaur Dadaev, took part in organizing the crime. On the day of the murder, Shavanov and Gubashev drove in a ZAZ car and watched Nemtsov, who was walking from a restaurant with a companion across the Bolshoi Moskvoretsky bridge. After Dadaev shot Nemtsov, Gubashev, who was driving the car, picked him up and the accomplices fled the scene of the crime.
Gubashev stresses that there was no customer for the murder of the politician.
The evidence was given shortly after the arrest of Anzor Gubashev. Some time later, he abandoned his first lawyer. The new defender of the accused believes that the testimony was given under the influence of emotions, and has already sent a petition for re-interrogation.
