I gave money for the treatment of children
In mid-2013, the singer was diagnosed with a brain tumor - glioblastoma. The Russian Channel One organized a marathon to raise money for the singer’s treatment. In just a few days, they managed to collect more than 60 million rubles ($1,086 million). Friske donated half of these funds to the treatment of children with cancer.
Friske was treated in the best clinics in the world, including in the USA, Germany, the Baltic States and China, where doctors managed to achieve long-term remission. At a certain point, the doctors came to the conclusion that nothing more threatened Friske's life. In October 2014, she returned to Moscow.
However, recently it became known about the deterioration of her condition and the need to undergo another course of treatment.
According to media reports, in recent months, the singer lived in her country house in the suburbs with her husband and young son.
Zhanna Friske gained fame as the lead singer of the group “Brilliant,” in which she performed from 1996 to 2003. After leaving the group, she began a solo career and also played several film roles.
July 8 Jeanne Friske would have turned 41 a year.
