One child has a town in Illinois celebrating Halloween a week earlier

4-year-old boy decided to organize a celebration of his favorite holiday - Halloween - a week earlier after the state of Illinois heard that at the end of October he needed to perform a vital operation.

Sonny Meade put on Superman's costume on a special day and looked into more than 20 houses along a special route, collecting candy. He was even able to ride in a fire truck.

“He thinks it’s Halloween,” Jackie Mead said. “We let him choose the suit. Until today, he wanted to be Spider-Man, and then he decided to become Superman."

Sonny was diagnosed with craniosynostosis due to which the bones of the skull adhere prematurely, affecting brain growth. In 2015, Sonny removed his skull parts to allow the brain to grow. In this case, the bones of the skull were supposed to grow, but this did not happen.

Therefore, on Friday, doctors will restore Sonny's skull using a three-dimensional print on a printer. The recovery of the boy will take from two to six months, which means that he could miss his favorite holiday 31 of October.
