In the Disney stores began to sell Ukrainian wooden constructors

Ugears is the first company in 22 years that Disney has allowed its brand to remain on its packaging.

Disney has started selling 3D puzzles from the Ukrainian company Ugears in its company stores. In the company's stores you can already buy four Ugears models worth $ 49,9, created specifically for Disney, reports UBR.

Ukrainians began talks with Disney in the spring of 2017. During negotiations, Ugears twice passed the Disney audit. The corporation paid attention to the transparency of the business, the tax burden, the average salary at the enterprise and the social atmosphere in which employees work (especially the workers of the shop and warehouse). A number of the company's requirements coincided with the standards of the Ukrainian Labor Code.

Ukrainian wooden constructors will be sold at Disney's 700 stores.

“Disney himself turned to us with a proposal for cooperation. The negotiations lasted 8 months, and we had to go through a tough audit. They checked everything - the financial statements of the company, jobs, conducted interviews with employees without the presence of line managers. It was necessary to meet something about 400 requirements for an audit. And we passed it without a single remark. The auditors themselves were surprised, to put it mildly, ”said Gennady Shestak, co-founder of the company.

In 2014, the start-up Ugears started out on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform. Today it is a successful Ukrainian company with 200 employees.

At the moment, Ugears produces 500 thousand models per year, which are bought by people aged 25 + years.

The sales leaders are the USA, China, Russia and England. 8-10% accounts for Ukraine. North America, that is, the USA and Canada, occupies 33%. In the EU countries supply 25-26% of all models. One third of Ugears sales are in Russia, Australia, New Zealand and Asian countries.

Now the company has 35 models of construction sets. Over the last calendar year - from April 2017 to April 2018 - 16 more appeared.
