In Illinois, a homeless man collects money for a good deed
A woman from Rockford, Illinois, is raising money for a homeless person who has returned a lost wallet with money.
Michael Wulf, an unemployed welder, originally from Dickson, found a wallet with $ 600 and a mobile phone near Drifters Saloon. The man left the money and the phone in the bar so that the workers could return it to the owner, what they managed to do.
Jenny Keller from Rockford found out about this story and wanted to do something good for Wolfe. She opened a fundraising page on the GoFundMe platform for him to collect donations of $ 1000.
She created the page on Thursday, and for 6 days 162 people listed $ 5 060.
She also contacted the Dixon Police Department to transfer money to Wulf, and to assure donors that she was not collecting for herself.
“This story touched me and I just wanted to show that there are good people in this world and Michael Wolf is definitely one of those people,” she said.
