Ohio teacher donated kidney to schoolgirl
In Ohio in Reynoldsburg, 48-year-old teacher Tanya Thomas donated a kidney to a sick schoolgirl of 10-year-old Ive Evans, writes with reference to the Associated Press Lenta.ru report.

A girl with 2017, suffered from renal failure. Doctors suggest that "a spontaneous genetic mutation" led to the disease. The girl needed a kidney transplant and survived only by a dialysis machine, to which she was connected every day for 10 hours.
When it turned out that none of Willow’s relatives could donate a kidney due to the incompatibility of organs, the family tried to find a donor through Facebook.
The donor agreed to be Thomas, who worked at the same school where the girl studied.
“I had no doubt,” she noted. “There was a feeling that the door opened in front of me and I should enter it.”
Many months of testing confirmed that her kidney is suitable for transplanting Willow. It is expected that the operation will take place in the second half of summer.
