Top 10 best US cities for property owners

After analyzing localities for housing affordability and the cost of owning a home, Portland was named the best US city for property owners.
The research results were published on the portal. Bankrate.com.
The city topped the rating largely due to its affordable insurance for property owners, the low level of foreclosure and reasonable electricity prices.
The study took into account equally 8 factors: housing affordability, housing cost assessment, real estate tax, homeowners insurance, energy and maintenance costs, the percentage of foreclosure, and how quickly the housing was leased over the last 6 years.
Portland took 1st place, despite the fact that housing prices there are constantly rising. In June of this year, the city recorded the largest price increase for the year - 12.6% among the 20 major major settlements.

- Las Vegas
- Minneapolis and St. Paul
- Indianapolis
- Salt Lake City

As for unfavorable cities, Hartford, Connecticut was named the worst because of the exorbitant taxes on property and homeowners insurance, as well as the high cost of maintenance costs and utilities. The New York metropolitan area ranked 2 on this list due to its high property taxes and maintenance costs. Providence, Los Angeles and Buffalo completed the top five worst US cities to own property.
