Shooting in Denver: there are dead, many wounded
Police are looking for a suspect who opened fire on Monday in downtown Denver, killing one person and injuring four more.
The shooting took place near 16: 00 near Coors Field in Lawrence and on 21 st.
One person died at the scene of his injuries. Four others in stable condition were sent to a hospital, Denver police said.
Eyewitnesses talked about several shots.
Willie Salone, who works near the crime scene, said he "saw some guy walk up to another guy." “I don’t know what happened, but after a while he started shooting. He shot the guy he was talking to and then started shooting indiscriminately,” he said.
Andrew Guzman said his car was parked nearby.
“The rear windshield was shot through and one of the bullets hit my headrest,” he said.
Police stated that the circumstances surrounding the shooting are being investigated.
