Sleeping American summoned 911 via Apple Watch
In Chicago, journalist Jason Rowley, in a dream, activated the SOS mode on the Apple Watch and accidentally called 911. The man woke up and found three policemen in the bedroom, writes Tjournal.

"Public announcement: if you sleep with donned [on hand] Apple Watch, consider turning off the SOS feature, or you too will wake up at 1am with three cops in your bedroom,” Rowley wrote in Twitter.
The journalist noted that the police were polite and calm. They told that they often face false calls because of Watch Apple.
Many users complain of a similar problem not only smart watches, but also iPhone. In both cases, the system starts the countdown from three to five seconds, which is accompanied by a siren, and then starts dialing 911 and sends messages to friends or relatives.
“Damn, I just nervously pressed the lock button a few times and it activated the SOS alarm mode and scared everyone in the class. Now I want to leave here forever,” the user wrote Twitter kwami.

SOS Emergency Call Appeared With Exit WatchOS 4 and iOS 11 and is designed so that users in danger can invisibly invoke help by simply holding a few buttons on their device. By default, the function automatically starts dialing to the police, but this can be turned off in the settings.
