Snowden told how secret services crack smartphones

Former CIA officer Edward Snowden said that the British intelligence services have a whole set of programs for spying on smartphones that have the name of a set of “smurfs” - named after the heroes of the comic book Pierre Cüllifor.

The hacking toolkit allows you to turn the phone on or off without the user's knowledge (this element is called “dreamy smurf,” Snowden says), control the microphone (“curious smurf”), track movements, resist trying to detect hacking (“paranoid smurf”) and much more .

According to Snowden, the introduction of the tracking software into the smartphone is seamless for the user through a text message.
