Snow storm in the USA: one person died, 310 of thousands of houses are de-energized

In the southeastern United States, around 310 thousands of homes were left without electricity after a powerful winter storm that broke out during the weekend. It is reported that in North Carolina, a blizzard killed a motorist, another driver is considered missing.

Blizzard warnings are still in effect for large areas of North Carolina, southern West Virginia and Virginia, with at least two inches (5 cm) of rain expected, Reuters reported. Fox News. Due to a powerful storm, hundreds of flights at airports have been canceled.

Five members of the rescue diving team last Sunday searched the Nose River in Kinston, North Carolina, after the wagon drove off the road into the river. A truck driver is considered missing. Police said another driver died near Charlotte after a tree fell on a moving car.

Officials warn residents to prepare emergency attributes and avoid roads in the affected areas. Several school districts in North Carolina and Virginia have announced that schools will be closed on Monday.
