Media: Trump confident to 'recover' as president this summer

Haberman, who has published some of the most high-profile stories about the Trump administration and has covered his activities for decades, added that Trump was "focused" on verifying election results in states that he is still trying to disprove.

The anti-democratic conspiracy theory has been simmering in the conservative media for months. It does not have a constitutional basis or any legal legal basis.

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell was a prominent proponent of this theory.

Former Trump attorney Sidney Powell also raised the idea at the QAnon conference over the weekend.

The thought of anticipating Trump's reinstatement as president could spread further among Trump's most loyal supporters. For example, calls to help cancel the 2020 elections on January 6 spread during a bus tour in support of Trump organized by a marginalized group and led to an uprising in the Capitol.

Lindell said he will go to the Supreme Court in August to present evidence he has obtained that will be so compelling that judges will be forced to reject the 2020 election results.

A podcast by former Trump adviser Steve Bannon strengthened the conspiracy theory as Lindell and others participated in the show with the aim of promoting it.
