Schoolgirl in California treated classmates cookies with the remains of her grandmother
Police are investigating reports that a student from California treated unsuspecting classmates with cookies baked from the remains of her grandmother.

The incident occurred at the school Da Vinci Charter Academy in Davis, writes Fox News.
The parents of one of the victims said that their son had returned home and told them that this week one of his classmates confessed that two weeks ago she had baked a cookie with the remains of her dead grandmother and distributed it to his students.
According to the guy who did not want to disclose his name, the girl went to school and told everyone about what she had done.
According to the investigation, nine students tried cookies.
The parents of the injured boy, who also asked not to disclose their names, stated that they were upset by the school’s response to the incident.
They claim that after the administration questioned their son, he was asked to file a report and “not tell anyone” about what happened.
The director of Da Vinci Charter Academy, Tyler Millsap, issued a statement on Tuesday in which he stressed that his students' safety and well-being are his priorities.
He added that what happened does not pose a risk to the health of students, and also clarified that “those who were involved in the incident repented, and now this is a personal matter of the family, and we want to respect the confidentiality of families involved in the situation.”
The police said they were conducting an investigation with which the school’s administration was cooperating, but no charges were made, and no arrests were made.
