The northern capital received the prestigious World Travel Awards as the best tourist destination in Europe, according to the official website of the international award. The key success factors were centuries-old traditions, an exceptionally rich history and a solid tourist potential of the city.
In addition to St. Petersburg, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, Venice, Lisbon, Florence, Edinburgh, Istanbul, London, Porto, Berlin, Lisbon and Yorkshire claimed a high rank.
The award winners in various nominations are: Lufthansa and TAP Portugal airlines, Forte Village Resort (Italy) and Cornelia Diamont Golf Resort & Spa (Turkey), Conrad Algarve (Portugal) and Excelsior Hotel Gallia (Italy), and Eurocar car rental company ...
All European laureates will take part in the World Finals World Travel Award, which will be held on December 12 in Morocco.
The World Travel Award is awarded 22 of the year. It is awarded to organizations and companies that make an outstanding contribution to the development of the tourism industry.
