Directed by "50 grayscale" will remove two sequels
Sam Taylor-Johnson, director of 50 Grayscale, confirmed the fact that he was working on his sequels, Variety reports. Studio Universal has not yet made an official statement about the continuation of the picture.
Taylor-Johnson made this announcement at a meeting with best-selling fans E.L. James, who formed the basis of the picture, saying that the two novels continuation - “Fifty shades darker” and “Fifty shades of freedom” - will also be filmed.
Writer E. L. James and starring in the film adaptation of Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson also participated in a meeting with fans of the book series.
The adaptation of “50 grayscale” is released in the Russian 12 rental in February, and the next day will appear on American screens, where, according to experts, must collect at least 60 million dollars for the first weekend.
The film with the scandal was banned in the Malaysian box office, and the rest of the world comes out with various age restrictions: in Russia and the UK it is prohibited for minors to be shown, and in the US, viewers up to 17 will be able to go to the cinema only when accompanied by an adult.
