After a year of ban, Americans will be allowed to visit Europe, but there is a condition
The European Union stopped non-essential travel more than a year ago, reminds Fox News.
On Sunday, April 25, a senior European Union official said Americans who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 should be able to travel to Europe by summer.
This permit will ease existing travel restrictions.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen told The New York Times that the 27 members of the union will unconditionally accept anyone vaccinated with the European Medicines Agency-approved vaccines.
The agency has approved three vaccines used in the United States.
“As far as I understand, Americans are using vaccines approved by the European Medicines Agency,” von der Leyen said. “This will allow free movement and travel within the European Union.”
