How police plan to protect US residents 4 July

US police transferred to an enhanced mode of operation in connection with the planned crowded celebrations on Independence Day 4 July.
The ministry claims that no threats are foreseen, but they promise to apply unprecedented security measures.
For example, in Boston, law enforcement officers will use a drone to monitor the crowd during a fireworks show Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular on the Charles River, which is expected to be visited by up to 500 thousands of viewers. UAVs will transmit to security officials a picture of what is happening in the crowd. In addition, during the show, the Massachusetts Marine Police Unit will patrol the Charles River.
Meanwhile, in New York on Independence Day is scheduled the country's largest fireworks show, which will be watched by more than three million people. Employees of the Anti-Terrorism Department and “well-armed police officers” will work on the streets. Over 120 trucks with sand and “blockers” will be parked near the main viewing platforms in Manhattan and during Fireworks shows Macy's.
In Washington, hundreds of thousands of people are also expected at various celebrations, including a salute and a concert on Capitol Hill. The head of the Metropolitan Police, Peter Newsham, said last week that there was no threat of attacks during the celebration, but the police would be deployed “at full capacity”. The day before the planned activities along the National Alley, police barriers and checkpoints were built.
Militiamen ask people not to bring alcohol, glass containers, personal fireworks or pets to the festivities.
