All over America, gasoline is getting cheaper

Drivers can rejoice in the fall in gasoline prices caused by lower crude oil prices.

Gasoline prices have been falling almost every day for the past three weeks. This was caused by a sudden drop in crude oil prices. Since 20, April, the price of gas has dropped by 8 cents per gallon (3,8 liters). A similar trend with oil prices - they have fallen by 11% since the beginning of last month.

“We're talking about oil prices,” says chief oil analyst at Oil Price Information Service Tom Clause. He notes that at the beginning of the year, oil prices jumped because of an agreement on OPEC countries to cut production in December last year. At the same time, oil production in the USA is growing. Thanks to her, the price of crude oil is kept under control.

Despite lower prices, gasoline was even cheaper last year. The reason is the lowest level of oil prices at the beginning of 2016.

Recall that a year ago in Michigan, the price of gasoline fell to a record low of 47 cents per gallon (3,8 liters), or about 12 cents per liter. This happened because of the price war between the networks of petrol stations in the state.
