Free Travel to Finland: How to Apply for a Happiness Masterclass

Finland has been voted the happiest country in the world for seven years in a row. She is currently recruiting for her second free master class on happiness. How to apply, informs CNBC.

This Scandinavian country tops the rankings with a score that, according to a report released this week, World Happiness Report 2024, “significantly ahead of other countries.” The report takes into account factors such as average income, mental and physical health.

Following the success of the Happiness Masterclass in 2023, Visit Finland and Helsinki Partners are recruiting a new group of people who want to explore the Finnish way of life.

During the five-day masterclass, participants will learn from a team of three “happiness experts,” according to a press release. These experts will share secrets that you can apply in your daily life. Read about 5 amazing facts about Finland in our material.

Lifehacks of happiness

Key principles for happiness in Finland:

• nature and lifestyle;
• health and balance;
• design and everyday life;
• food and wellbeing.

“Finnish happiness comes down to simple needs: connecting with nature, taking care of our mind and body, and enjoying the atmosphere and art around us,” Heli Jimenez, senior director of international marketing at Business Finland, said in a press release.

Examples of things participants can do during the workshop include nature swimming and a forest walk.

Who can apply?

Candidates with a minimum age of 18 years must complete the social media challenge and fill out the registration form for page campaigns. Those interested need to post a video on Instagram or TikTok in which they talk about their secret to happiness and why they should be chosen to visit Helsinki this summer. The challenges are posted on @ourfinland on Instagram and @visitfinland.com on TikTok.

The press release states that the application can be submitted individually or as a couple.

Partners Visit Finland and Helsinki are accepting applications for this masterclass until April 4, 2024. Participants will enjoy a completely free trip to the Finnish capital from June 9 to 14 - all transport costs there and back will be covered.
