Arnold Schwarzenegger touchingly celebrated the anniversary of receiving US citizenship
Arnold Schwarzenegger celebrated the 40th anniversary of receiving US citizenship with a publication on social networks, reports Deadline.

The bodybuilder-turned-actor-turned-politician released a series of photos this weekend documenting his life in Austria before he arrived in the United States in 1968—all while he spoke at the 2004 Republican National Convention.
Schwarzenegger became a citizen on September 17, 1983.
“My fellow Americans, this is an amazing moment for me,” the video begins with these words. “To think that a once skinny boy from Austria could grow up to become governor of California is an immigrant’s dream.” At school, when the teacher talked about America, I dreamed of coming here. I dreamed of living here. As long as I live, I will never forget the day I raised my right hand and took the oath of citizenship. Do you know how proud I was? I was so proud that I walked around with the American flag on my shoulders all day.”

The video contains photographs of Schwarzenegger in his youth, in Austria, with his family and when he became governor of California.
“This is one of the days of my life that I am most proud of,” Schwarzenegger wrote. “I owe everything to America.” Born in Austria, made in America!”
Schwarzenegger recently made his television debut in the Netflix spy adventure series Fubar, which has been renewed for a second season.
