In Florida, a lightning hit a pregnant woman
A pregnant woman was taken to the hospital after a lightning strike in Florida.
According to the message News-Press, police lieutenant of Fort Myers Jay Rodriguez said that the woman was hospitalized after she was struck by lightning on Thursday afternoon on a street in a cottage village.
The name of the woman was not reported.
Meteorologist of the National Meteorological Service Andrew McCogan said that this year there were three deaths in the United States after a lightning strike, including two in Florida. On Tuesday, a man was killed by a lightning strike at the Pembroke Pines construction site.
McCogan said that anyone who hears thunder is close enough to be struck by lightning.
