Abnormal heat will be in the San Francisco Bay Area this weekend: recommendations
The National Weather Service is urging San Francisco Bay Area residents to seek shelter from record-breaking heat that could be hazardous to health, with temperatures forecast to rise to 105 degrees Fahrenheit (40,5 Celsius).

This weekend — June 8 and especially June 9 — dangerous heat is forecast for the northern San Francisco Bay Area, the National Weather Service (NWS) reports. In this regard, a high risk of fire danger has been established in the same territories, writes SF Curbed.
Weather forecasters warn that such hot weather poses a significant risk to the health of residents of the northern, southern and eastern parts of the Bay Area.

Most likely, the temperature will soar up 9 June, on Sunday, from 10: 00 to 21: 00.
“After a cool spring and early summer, temperatures will rise quickly this weekend. Sensitive populations, such as older adults, infants and those without access to air conditioning, are at risk of experiencing extreme heat-related illnesses,” the NWS forecast warns.
Most likely, very hot weather will last after Sunday. NWS notes that safety recommendations in the heat will remain relevant for next week.

Over the weekend, it will be about 89 degrees Fahrenheit (31,6 Celsius) in San Francisco, 98 (36,6 Celsius) in Napa, and 97 (36 Celsius) in Santa Rosa. In Oakland the temperature will rise to 91 degrees (32,8), in Antioch - 95 (35), in Concord - 102 (38,9).
In San Jose and the surrounding southern bay on Sunday, temperatures will also reach 95 degrees Fahrenheit (35 Celsius), and in some parts of the Bay Area can reach 105 (40,5).
Safety recommendations require residents of these regions to drink more water, if possible avoid the sun, and regularly check the health status of elderly or sick relatives and neighbors.
