In the US, scheduled another wave of deportation of immigrants

US immigration officials plan to make several raids in May and June of this year in order to deport hundreds of mothers and children from Central America who have entered the country illegally.

This will probably be the biggest deportation of immigrant families during the work of the Barack Obama administration. This year, similar two-day raids took place in January in Georgia, Texas and North Carolina. As a result of recent raids, an 121 man has been detained. They were mostly women and children.

Such government actions sparked protests by immigration attorneys and harsh criticism from some Democrats, including presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

The Office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has now ordered a series of arrests of those immigrants who have already been ordered to leave the United States. The operation will also cover minors arriving in the country without guardians. Information is known from secret sources.

However, the ICE spokesman did not confirm or deny the information about the planned raids. He merely stated that the priorities for expulsion from the country would be immigrants who had arrived illegally after 1 in January of 2014.

The fact is that in 2014, the federal services were overloaded and could not properly control the illegal migration of women and children who fled violence in Honduras, El Salvador and Gavtemala.

From October 2015 to March 2016, the US border guard detained some 32 000 families trying to cross the border. In 2014-2015, this figure was 14 000.

However, the authorities admit that in this way the problem of illegal migration cannot be solved.
