Media: Two Algerian French are suspected of assault in Paris

Police suspect two French people of Algerian origin have attacked the editorial office of the satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo, Point magazine website reported on Wednesday citing a source.

On Wednesday morning, three unknown persons staged a shooting in the building of the weekly Charlie Hebdo in Paris, resulting in the death of 12 people, including eight journalists and two policemen. The attackers fled the scene, several times having engaged in a shootout with the police.

According to the publication, we are talking about two residents of the Paris suburb of Panten 32 and 34 years. Both in the summer of 2014, they returned from Syria, where they could take part in hostilities. One of the suspects in the 2008 year was convicted in the case of an Iraqi terrorist cell operating in the north-east of Paris. From 2003 to 2005, this organization recruited a dozen young French to participate in the hostilities in Iraq.

The third suspect may be a young man, 1996, of birth without a specific place of residence.

The third participant in the attack could have been 18-year-old Hamid M. without a specific place of residence, which is listed in Reims in eastern France. According to the newspaper, police special forces officers were sent to this city in the afternoon, RIA Novosti reports.
