Heroin Injection Rooms Open in Seattle

Seattle will become the first city in the United States to open a "injection room" - a room where drug addicts can inject themselves with a sterile needle and, possibly, under the supervision of a nurse. Similar ideas were raised in Baltimore, New York, Boston and San Francisco, but they remained ideas. Seattle provided a detailed action plan after studying a report on the heroin epidemic.

The idea to open a room where drug addicts will be able to take heroin without fear, suggested the department for combating drugs.
