The offender killed the mother in North Carolina: her two children spent all night next to the corpse in the car
In North Carolina, a gunman left two toddlers in a cold car overnight after he allegedly shot and killed their mother and the man she was with, reports New York Post.

Eric Coley, 42, has been arrested and charged with double homicide, according to a Rocky Mount police press release.
Police were called to the construction company's parking lot on Dec. 1 morning after employees arriving at work saw the two victims in a parked car and two small child survivors in the back seat, officials said. According to the data, the children were "young".

The two children were not injured, but were still taken to the hospital after being in low temperature conditions for several hours, police said. They were later handed over to relatives.
Two victims were identified as Devon Brown, 28, and Destiny Wiggins, 24. Police said the couple were shot dead.

The two children in the car were Wiggins' daughters.
“Destiny is one of eight children of my mother Donna Wiggins. The sister has four children, two girls and two boys,” said sister Breana Wiggins.
Kolya was charged with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm, police said. He was imprisoned in the Nash County Jail and his first court appearance was scheduled for the morning of December 5th.

The investigation is ongoing and police have said additional charges may be filed.
It is unclear what caused the shooting.
