The government has introduced a mandatory registration of drones

After numerous reports of incidents involving the unsafe operation of small-sized drones, the US government decided to introduce mandatory registration for the owners of all unmanned aerial vehicles.

On Monday, the Federal Aviation Administration, which is responsible for regulating air traffic in the United States, announced that since December 31, all drones must register and receive registration numbers.

Announcing this innovation, Deputy Head of the Office Michael Whitaker explained that the purpose of this measure is to inform the owners of drones about the necessary security measures, as well as to ensure the availability of data on who owns this or that drone.

The registration procedure will cost 5 dollars for all private and commercial UAVs weighing from 250 grams to 25 kilograms, including the weight of the built-in cameras.
