Martial law: the US embassy issued new recommendations for Americans in Ukraine
The US Embassy in Ukraine promulgated recommendations for its citizens in connection with the imposition of martial law in the 10 regions of Ukraine.

The report noted that on November 26, the Ukrainian parliament approved the 30-day period martial law from 14: 00 28 November for 10 areas of the country:
- Kirovograd
- Luhansk
- Mykolayiv
- Odesa
- Sumy
- Kharkivska
- Chernigovskaya
- Kherson
- Donetsk
- Zaporozhye
The US Embassy assesses how martial law may affect these regions. At the same time, the US Embassy recommends that Americans in Ukraine take the following steps:
- Revise travel in areas where martial law has been imposed;
- Be prepared for an enhanced police presence;
- Be prepared for unexpected street closures, restrictions and searches;
- Avoid demonstrations;
- Remember your surroundings;
- Monitor local media to update information;
- Follow local law enforcement instructions;
- Notify friends and family about their safety;
It is also recommended to register your contact information in the Smart Traveler Program (STEP) to receive updated information.

Recall, November 27 Verkhovna Rada passed a law, which introduced the presidential decree on the imposition of martial law for 30 days.
