An 11 month old boy died from a marijuana overdose in Colorado.

According to Daily NewsThe incident occurred in the 2015 year and was described in a medical journal Clinical Practice and Emergency Medicine. The child was hospitalized in the emergency room after a seizure.

One of the parents told the doctors that the child was irritable, sleepy and often vomited, although the history of the disease indicated that the boy was completely healthy. At the hospital, his health began to deteriorate rapidly, and the doctors had to intubate (insert the endotracheal tube) of the baby so that he could breathe. As a result, his heart stopped.

Doctors performed repeated blood tests and found tetrahydrocannabinol, the main psychoactive component of marijuana.

“The only thing we found was marijuana. There is a high concentration of marijuana in his blood,” the doctor said.

Doctors suggest that the child could eat cannabis, which led to such consequences.
