Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov admitted that Russia bombed and shelled the sovereign territory of Ukraine, and noted that military force is not capable of ensuring the rights of residents of Donbass. This was stated on Friday by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a meeting with participants of the All-Russian Youth Educational Forum “Territory of Meanings on the Klyazma”.

“It is in our interests to preserve this unique document - the Minsk agreements, which really ensure the rights of the residents of Donbass. The alternative is war, I think no one here wants a war with Ukraine. We must force the radicals and neo-Nazis who rule the roost in Ukraine to know their place, to carry out what they signed up for... We will not solve this problem with new bombings, new shellings,” he said.

He also stressed that Russia does not intend to give the occupied Crimea to Ukraine.

“Giving Crimea into the hands of the Nazis, who carried out a coup in Kyiv, and on this wave the current leadership came, would, I think, be criminal,” Lavrov said.

“There are some people who say that Crimea should not have been reunited with Russia, there should have been no need to help the militias in the Donbass, there was no need to go into Syria... If those who oppose our foreign policy believe that this should simply be allowed to if it happens by itself, especially since after these words there was an attempt to armedly seize the building of the Supreme Council of Crimea, then this is a position with which I personally cannot agree,” Lavrov said.

Recall, the hybrid army of Russia after the annexation of the Crimea invaded the Ukrainian Donbass. The Russian-Ukrainian war in certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions has lasted for more than two years. Receiving financing and armament from the Russian Federation, including heavy armored vehicles, MLRS Grad, Uragan, Smerch, Russians and local militants supported by them, apart from the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, regularly bombard residential buildings, resulting in the death of civilians everywhere.
