In which of the post-Soviet countries is the lowest salary
The highest and lowest average salaries in the post-Soviet space differ more than 10 times.
The New Time edition has created graphics based on the latest official data available for 2016-2017's. Given that almost every country has its own currency, all salaries were converted to US dollars at the exchange rate of July 10 for 2017.
For Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan used the market rate.
The three leaders were countries that were among the first to become members of the European Union among the post-Soviet countries.
They are followed by Russia, Kazakhstan and Georgia. Belarus is in the seventh place, and Ukraine is in the eleventh place, respectively.
