LA Times: Los Angeles turned into a giant trash can

Some of the streets of Los Angeles have turned into slums with rats scurrying among piles of decaying garbage and squalid tent cities. The Los Angeles Times visited the worst neighborhoods, calling what was happening there “the collapse of a city out of control.”

“The city of Los Angeles has become a giant garbage can,” columnist Steve Lopez said June 2, writes New York Post.
