One of the flight pilots United Airlines from Chicago to Newark on August 22, plunged many passengers into stress right after they got on the plane, saying that they would fly through "terrible storms involving tornadoes."

The atmosphere on board and so was tense because of the two-hour flight at that time, and this announcement scared many passengers, the newspaper writes Travel and Leisure.

After that, the flight attendant tried to resolve the situation and calm the passengers. But this did not work, because after a few more minutes, the pilot reported that the working time of this crew was over, and that a new one would come to replace them.

This finally disappointed and frightened the passengers, 50 of whom decided to leave the plane and not fly anywhere.

One of them was Pamela Kent from New Jersey, who explained that “passengers want the pilot to have confidence. But there was no such feeling in this plane ”, so she decided to leave the airliner.

Representative United Airlines Natalie Noonan later explained that the pilot’s announcement did not mean that the flight could be dangerous, it was simply that the flight could be delayed.

“We would never put our crew or our passengers at risk of an unsafe flight. The safety of passengers and crew is always our No. 1 priority,” Noonan said.

She explained that the pilot was trying to inform passengers that in some parts of Pennsylvania tornado warnings were issued, which means that the plane may have to stay in the air longer than expected.

Aircraft United Airlines finally flew from Chicago to 1: 14 nights (instead of 17: 54 as planned on schedule) and landed in Newark on 3: 58 in the morning.
