The longest flight in the world will be launched from Singapore to New York

From October 11, Singapore Airlines will launch the world's longest flight to its newest aircraft for ultra-long distances, the Airbus A350-900 ULR, writes CNN.

The flight from Singapore to New York will take almost 20 hours.

New flights will be operated three times a week. From October 18, when the second Airbus A350-900 flight is launched, flights will be operated daily. Tickets went on sale 31 May 2018 of the year. Judging by the data Google Flights, a flight in two directions will cost somewhere in a half thousand dollars.

In general, the company intends to purchase seven ULR-type aircraft by the end of the year.

Airbus A350-900 The ULR will have a 161 seat: 67 seats will be placed in business class and 94 seats in premium economy class. There is no regular and economy class in such flights.

The aircraft has high ceilings, LED lighting, almost vertical side walls and low noise, a special air circulation system. This should provide a comfortable flight.

The A350 fuselage is made of composite materials, including carbon fiber, which made it possible to integrate wide panoramic windows.

For its nearly 20-hour flight, the A350-900 ULR will spend an extra 24 thousands of liters of fuel. Additional fuel tanks weigh about 20 thousand pounds (9 thousand kg) because of which the aircraft design was rethought to properly distribute the payload on the aircraft.

Note that at the moment the longest is the flight from Doha (Qatar) to Oakland (California) - 17 hours 30 minutes (distance 14 539 kilometers). The longest in distance is considered a flight. Air India from Delhi to San Francisco – 15 kilometers. The longest domestic flight is considered to be the Aeroflot flight from Moscow to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky - 000 hours.
