“I had to die there”: confession of a fireman after putting out “Winter Cherry” in Kemerovo

The fire in Winter Cherry, which killed at least 64 people, most of whom were children, became a national tragedy. Considerable blame for it is placed on firefighters and fire inspectors. However, they themselves are experiencing hard what happened. One of the Kemerovo firefighters, on condition of anonymity, shared his thoughts with a correspondent.Tapes.ru».

“Thought and I would be beaten”

I have never come across such a nightmare. And none of my colleagues either. So many children died! My father is a mine rescuer. He is the mother of those who arrived there first. I thought it would beat me up - he still has the strength. What did not save the children ... Then he cooled down. I spoke with him, without making excuses, just discussed the circumstances. It is unfair to do all the firefighters, all in a row. He said only that he had to die there ... with the children. He had such cases when he was going to die, he was only chosen by a miracle, even when we were little.

And I would go? .. I will not say anything. What you are watching? You do not understand what the work of a fireman. These are not boys being played. There, order and combat missions are more important than emotions and wishes. It has always been like this, but there are so many children ... I don’t know why the children couldn’t get to that cinema as they walked past or didn’t reach it, but I can’t doubt that for the sake of the children they would die.

These fighters are in the hospital. Also suffered, but no one died, thank God. You need to die like me, not young, but even then after completing the task. After all, there, in a fire, is not a competition of heroism, but teamwork.

And what screams ignored - you understand: panic on any fire. People always shout, they are not ready, they stand in the cold in their underpants. Shout and in the case, but more often not. And the main weapon of a fireman is order in the head. He, of course, listens and asks himself, but does in his own way.

"But you will not have time!"

There is a natural human desire to be saved and saved. Often enough courage is true. But this is not a jump over the fire! Death is not a flame, but gases and structures that change the properties of overheating and turn into deadly traps. And these rags are wet - not for active actions for sure.

We have this self-activity and self-confidence destructive - in everything. Here is the “Winter Cherry”, and there is also the “Laplandia” shopping center - there were claims from the construction supervision.

And for “Winter Cherry”, go a little bit - “piece of wood” (a large area of ​​the city with private wooden houses - approx. "Tapes.ru"). All built up over the past two decades, so that happen trouble - burn out everything. But it’s not the firefighters who built it, but the people themselves - with their minds: it will do so! We will not set fire, and the barn - he is very necessary.

“Just schools are trained”

Here's the fire control quilted now, okay. I understand when the relatives of the victims and the injured do it, but then their superiors, too, ... Supervision for the management is like an eyesore. Is always. He is only constantly being robbed of something. And why? Because it is a source of negativity. Found a violation, got to the bottom - "we press on business": complaints to the prosecutor's office, reports. And if they didn’t find it and caught fire - again extreme ...

Yes, a lot of goats put on a uniform, but this is not a reason to put the problem under the carpet, to close all mouths. On the contrary, the problems of supervision should be kept in mind, specialists should be kept, they should be paid with dignity and the cuts should be stopped! Checks to improve, and not cancel.

A business, of course, need to earn. I understand them: he opened a shop, scored debts, and no one will wait until you get out there. That saves people on everything. But how many frank crooks, who have no problems with money!

Here, for example, emergency exits. Doors that open only from the inside are installed. And if someone is going to let in a terrorist, then there are video cameras and guards for that. Why are there no questions with schools? Everywhere there is a freak this. Just schools trained, and these - they are smart businessmen. There are statist lawyers, and most small businesses pretend to run from firefighters and from taxes.

"Ten square meters of responsibility"

In general, wherever you look - everywhere idiocy with us. Here is a well-known European company - I will not say which one, the French. They are insured with foreign insurers, and those will not insure the object if it does not meet the standards. My friend came to the object of this company, and there was already a representative of the insurers. They went, and each gave their own recommendations.

Western approaches are adopted by us: risk orientation, supervision holidays ... But Russian is not a German never! Our insurers are interested to get a client - this is voluntary insurance. And those that are conscientious - they look, yes, but not at the stage of operation, but only at acceptance.

These shopping centers rebuilt from factories are generally in trouble ... When they are built from scratch, they sometimes steal successful projects developed by foreigners, and they are thought out in terms of security. Plus, when building - if, again, people are more or less bona fide, the project documentation will be examined. During construction, construction supervision comes, then acceptance.

And there are a lot of unscrupulous legal entities who buy out the old shops and do not coordinate anything with anyone. They change the functionality on paper, and the whole thing works after redevelopment and restructuring until the legal entity is included in the audit plan. And then, when they come from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, it turns out that the property has already been resold to another legal entity, or rather, there are already a hundred legal entities, and each has ten square meters of “responsibility”. Yes, they conclude an agreement with management companies, but smart people prescribe in them that the Criminal Code is responsible for everything except fire safety.

And these machinations reach such proportions that it can be called a feature of Russian business.

"I did not see the foam burning like this"

It turns out that we first slaughter everything, put ourselves and our loved ones in a precarious position, and when trouble comes, we turn into heroes. And you know, like me, still a young firefighter, they said: “We don’t need heroes, crucifixes * we need fighters-professionals”.

However, there are a lot of questions about Winter Cherry. Strange and incomprehensible to me was a very strong spread, some kind of crazy simple. I did not see the foam burning like this. Maybe he was soaked with something. From the spark of such a distribution could not be just physically. Foam smoke gives a lot, yes. But why did it break out so? This is the examination will install.

And we all need to take his head. Yes, commerce is now welded by firefighters to the walls of shopping centers, but ... We must, apparently, not go to such places where fire safety is not observed, where these extenders are chained and emergency exits are closed. There will be losses - will open the door.

Fire in the Kemerovo shopping center "Winter Cherry" happened 25 March and took the life of a 64 man.
